Showplace Productions Presents an Exciting Fall Line-up

Featuring the USEF/NCEA and IHJA “A” Medal Finals and The USHJA Outreach Festival


Showplace Productions creates an unforgettable finals experience for all levels of riders.


Roscoe, IL - July 20, 2022 –Showplace Productions and Show Manager Patrick Boyle present a fall line-up like no other featuring the USEF/NCEA and Illinois Hunter Jumper Association (IHJA) Hunt Seat Medal Finals along with the new USHJA Outreach Festival! Get ready for two weekends filled with amazing awards, outstanding hospitality, and fantastic competition! It all begins September 6-11, 2022, with the Showplace Fall Classic at Ledges Sporting Horses in Roscoe, Illinois. The jumper action hits the Grand Prix ring early in the week and features the $5,000 1.25m Modified Jumper Classic along with a $1,500 Ledges Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, and the $1,500 Marshall and Sterling Children’s Adult Jumper Classics plus Jumper Classics for all jumper divisions!

Alltech USHJA National Hunter Derby Finals Later in the week, the hunters take over the Grand Prix ring for the $10,000 Alltech USHJA National Hunter Derby Finals and the $2,500 Alltech USHJA Pony Hunter Derby to wrap up the $30,000 Alltech USHJA Hunter Derby Series.

USEF/NCEA Junior Hunt Seat Medal Finals Saturday afternoon’s highlight is the USEF/NCEA Junior Hunt Seat Midwest Medal Finals followed by traditional Showplace hospitality with a BBQ and live music by Diamonback. The USEF/National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) hosts three national finals with the East Coast Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show October 22, 2022, the West Coast Finals at the Desert International Horse Park, November 12, 2022, and the Midwest Finals on September 10, 2022, during the Showplace Fall Classic. Showplace Productions is proud to be chosen to host these finals across the country to further enhance the great college opportunities for these young equestrian athletes. IHJA “A” Medal Finals The action doesn’t stop there! Sunday includes a delicious Medal Finals Brunch while the coveted IHJA “A” Medal Finals take center stage. The top local riders will ride for the title of the 2022 Champion with sections offered for the Pony Medal Final, the Adult Mini-Medal Final, the Children’s Mini-Medal Final, the Adult Medal Final, the Children’s Medal Final, and the tough Junior Medal Final. Boyle always strives to make the local finals very much like the National finals, giving riders a sample of what they can expect to see at the top medal finals competitions. The awards are top-notch as well with victory gallops and fantastic photo opportunities to create memories for a lifetime. Boyle keeps the facility in perfect shape, adding all new footing to every ring just this past June to enhance your competition experience. Showplace never disappoints competitors offering beautiful jumps and decorations with fun and challenging courses in the super-sized Grand Prix ring. Top officials are scheduled for the competition and include Rob Bielefeld [Florida], Kim Dorman [South Carolina], Irving Evans [New Hampshire], and Sarah Booker [Missouri]. IHJA “B” Medal Finals September 15 – 18, 2022 The celebration continues September 15 – 18, 2022, with the IHJA “B” Medal Finals and the new USHJA Outreach Festival. Join Showplace Productions and USHJA for an amazing week of awards, awards, and more awards for all levels of riders at Ledges Sporting Horses. The USHJA is sending representatives to this finals competition. Awards such as coolers, ribbons, belt buckles, and more are the same awards as the Las Vegas National! This brand new Outreach Festival will have the same vibe as Las Vegas but on a local level! You won't want to miss this show! The festivities include the $1,000 Marketing 4 Equestrians Professional Hunter Derby Finals and the $1,000 Marketing 4 Equestrians Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby Finals with of course, a marvelous brunch. Series awards are also presented to the Leading Junior/Amateur Horse, the Leading Junior Rider, Leading Amateur Rider, and Leading Professional Rider, sponsored by Marketing 4 Equestrians. The signature events on Sunday include the IHJA “B” Medal Finals as riders take on the championship courses in the Grand Prix ring. Medal riders will test their skills in one of the many sections of medal finals while the IHJA hosts a fabulous brunch for all to enjoy. The finals celebration includes $250 hunter and jumper classics for all levels of riders and a fantastic Exhibitor’s Party in the usual Showplace style.

USHJA Outreach Festival The USHJA (Unites States Hunter Jumper Association) Outreach Festival is a new addition this year. Riders qualify for the finals by participating in one of the series competitions below for USHJA Zones 5 and 6. A few lucky riders will have the chance to earn a Golden Backstage Pass to the USHJA National Championships in Las Vegas! The pass is awarded to the highest pointed Gold Level Outreach competitor from each Zone. The Golden Backstage Pass earns the winner premier access to events at the USHJA’s annual national competition in Las Vegas, including:

  • The opportunity to compete in the USHJA Affiliate Championships held during the USHJA National Championships

  • The chance to participate in the National Championship Grand Prix and Hunter Derby course walks, as well as attend educational sessions such as Judge with the Judge and Sports Psychology for Equestrians

  • The honor of presenting awards with USHJA President Mary Knowlton and Executive Director Kevin Price
