Wellington, FL – November 6, 2023 – After over a decade in the St. Louis, Missouri, area, trainer/rider Sarah (Mechlin) Duhon is relocating to Wellington, Florida, and refocusing her passion. With her husband, show manager Mo (Duhon Management Group), and two kids in tow, Duhon is now available in the Sunshine State.

Duhon, a talented rider with an easygoing personality, is available for catch riding and clinics at any location while working out of Wellington.

“I decided to focus on what I really love, which is riding, especially bringing along young horses,” said Duhon. “I love teaching as well but being in the saddle is my true passion.”

Successful both in the saddle and on the ground, Duhon has racked up a big collection of tricolor ribbons from her junior career on up. After her junior years, she spent five years in Cincinnati riding for Patty and Richard Rogers’ Branch Hill Farm along with the Darst’s Lochmoor Stables. While there, Duhon rode Yes Indeed for owner Olivia Weaver, to earn the championship in the inaugural High Performance Hunter Division and clinch the win in the Gulfport International Hunter Derby that year.

Duhon has piloted numerous rides to top ribbons for many trainers and owners such as Lorrie Canady (Long Grove, IL), Heather Irvine (Bloomfield Hills, MI), Otis Brown (Georgetown, KY), and many more. In addition, she has trained riders to multiple circuit championships in the junior hunters at WEF, Junior Hunter Finals, the Zone 7 Equitation Finals, and this year’s Region 5 Maclay Medal Reserve Champion.

“With two little kids now, we wanted to settle in where we would have a lot of business opportunities,” added Duhon. “St. Louis has been good to us but there is just more business for us in Florida. I can focus on catch riding and sale horses and would love to teach some clinics too. We’re kind of starting at “Square One”, which is what we’re calling our new business. Mo and I are happy to have a new adventure and look forward to what the season brings.”
